Description

Education/Experience

You must have a valid Texas driver’s license, a clean driving record, be able to lift 50 pounds, and enjoy working outdoors. Ideally, you’ll have a working knowledge of chemical fertilizer application and outdoor pest control, with 2 or more years of industry experience and English speaking capability. We offer training and continuing education opportunities.

Salary Range

$15 to $20 per hour

Landscape Crew Leader

Description

You’ll manage a crew of up to 3 landscape technicians, overseeing and performing work in the field that includes tree and shrub trimming, mulch and seasonal color installation, drainage system installation and landscape installation. Education/Experience

You must have a valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record, and four or more years of relevant lawn maintenance or landscape maintenance experience. We look for leaders who are bilingual, communicate effectively with clients, and work effectively with office personnel and team members, and are self-motivated. You should have a working knowledge of plant material and landscape installation.

Salary Range

$16 to $18 per hour

Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader

Description

As a crew leader, you will manage a team of three or more lawn maintenance technicians in the field, overseeing and assisting with pruning, edging, mowing and providing quality service to give our customers the best lawn on the block.lawn maintenance crew performing jobs in Texas

Education/Experience

You’ll need a valid Texas driver’s license, clean driving record and four or more years of relevant lawn care or landscape experience. Our team leaders are bilingual and communicate effectively with clients—you’ll build relationships with clients who trust Grassperson to care for their properties on a weekly basis. You should have a strong working knowledge of operating power equipment including mowers, string trimmers, edgers, chain saws, sod cutters, pruning saws and blowers.

Salary Range

$16 to $18 per hour

Field Operations Manager

Description

As field operations manager, you will oversee all phases of our field operations teams and supervise crew leaders. In this position, you’ll work with internal staff and customers, so strong communication skills and customer empathy are critical. You will spearhead training and development for our field teams, driving the continued high performance of our staff, among other managerial activities:

  • Set schedules, oversee equipment and materials, conduct weekly safety and training meetings, oversee employee attendance records and enforce company policies.

  • Oversee the human resource management of field staff, which includes hiring, performance management, training, coaching, mentoring and staff development.

  • Visit job sites daily, help resolve training issues and respond to customer complaints.

  • Maintain knowledge of the customer contracts in progress and monitor budgeted hours to ensure proper tracking through our CRM system.

Education/Experience

This position calls for a bachelor’s degree in horticulture or turf management or 5 to 10 years of direct industry experience. Spanish-speaking capability is helpful, as is a mechanical aptitude and knowledge of plants, grasses and weeds.

Salary Range

$45,000 to $65,000 per year

Account Manager

Description

You are the person our customers meet for the first time when they sign on with Grassperson, and they’ll build a relationship with you as you become a trusted consultant sharing a goal to make their lawns the best on the block. This position involves consultative selling, relationship-building and customer empathy—and ability to understand customers’ challenges and come up with solutions through our services. Also important is knowledge of plant material.

Education/Experience

If you have a 2- or 4-year horticulture degree or are working toward one, this position could be a great fit for you. We’re also looking for people with sales experience in the service industry, and those with a strong business acumen.

Salary Range

$40,000 to $60,000

Customer Service Representative

Description

This customer-centric team member is the front door to our business in many ways. As customer service representative, you’ll communicate with staff and customers. You will also use our CRM system and use your multitasking skills to help run a busy office at a growing company.

Education/Experience

Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma. We are seeking someone who has excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping people. If you’re bilingual, that’s a plus because our workforce is diverse. Nursery experience is also an asset, but not necessary.

Salary Range

$32,000 to $40,000 per year
